My Story & Journey of Growth
Hello! My name is Ilyas, and I was born in Kazan, Russia.
I began my path in the culinary field, graduating from a culinary college and later from St. Petersburg University of Management, Economics and Law, majoring in Tourism Management. For some time, I worked as a chef before opening a student cafeteria together with my wife, where we served daily meals. After selling this business, we launched a women's clothing and accessories store, sourcing products from the UAE, where I managed wholesale operations and supply chains in Kazan.
Later, I joined my friend Timur, who owned a production business in custom aquariums and furniture. My role was to promote services, manage client relations, and supply materials for production. His company grew rapidly and began receiving orders for marine aquariums across Russia.
However, in February 2022, after the war began, my life changed dramatically. Timur moved to the USA with his family, while I relocated to Georgia. There, I decided to shift my career path into IT and completed courses in Golang programming.
I actively participated in hackathons, where my teams won 3rd and 4th places.
My first hackathon was in Batumi, organized by WEB3 Ton Raffles, where our team placed 4th and received a prize.
The second one was in Tbilisi, where we built a Web3 donation platform on Telegram for the TON ecosystem and won the Audience Choice Award.
I also joined a Bootcamp in Tbilisi, where we presented our project GeoHealth - a Telegram-based health monitoring ecosystem. What started as an idea eventually grew into a startup, where I took on multiple roles: developer, project manager, and tester. This project gave me invaluable practice and helped me realize that I am not just a developer - but also a manager, analyst, and leader. My background in management proved extremely useful here.

Alongside this, I attended various Web3 and Telegram-related conferences, including the TON Conference in Dubai, where I learned from leading industry speakers and gained valuable insights.
Meanwhile, my friend Timur expanded his business in Los Angeles, USA, focusing on custom cabinetry manufacturing. Today, I contribute to his company, Custom Cabinets LA, working remotely on promotion, LinkedIn marketing, Google Maps strategy, and website development.
Over the last 2.5 years in Georgia, I have built a new career in IT, gained strong professional skills, and became a Google Maps Local Guide Level 7, reaching over 3M+ views on my contributions.
And this is only the beginning. 🚀
